Dolby 3D differs from other 3D cinema technologies and provides an experience completely faithful to what the movie's creators envisioned. Dolby 3D uses a unique full-spectrum color technology that provides extremely crisp, clear images. The Dolby 3D movie system has a rotating color filter wheel that can insert automatically into a digital projector for 3D movies.
Alongside the projector, the Dolby 3D Filter Controller DFC100 automatically synchronizes the filter wheel with the 3D digital content as it's projected. The Dolby 3D image delivers full quality when projected onto a conventional matte white screen.
These units came out of a working cinema environment at time of their power down for removal from service. Since testing these items is unable to be done other than a Dolby 3D setup, all we have to validate them is they worked at powerdown, so these are being sold as is.
These are only for a Cinema using the Dolby 3D setup and has one of these already in use and for some unforseen failure in their working unit needs a backup device on hand for use while repairs to be made on the other one or for them to have a backup as these are growing harder to find available yet function if your setup needs one.
