The history of the My Twinn company is fascinating!
It was founded in 1993 in Agoura California by an emergency room physician, Dr. Kurdika and former children's entertainment executive Lisa Driscoll. Dr Kurdika developed a method to make "look like me" dolls as an emotional aide to sick children.
The dolls became quite popular and were recognized by Oprah Winfrey and Make A Wish Foundation, to name only a few.
The company went through many changes through the years until in 2015, facing various difficulties, the custom 23 inch dolls were retired. The business continued to decline until it closed in January 2016.
