    This medallion is found in prestigious museums like the Princeton University Art Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City (“The Met”).  Now it is your chance to own this museum quality medallion.

    , beautiful symbolic piece was presented

    to the parents of cadets that entered the academy in 1952  (150 year
    celebration)
    The front has the flaming torch or leadership, a sword of valor and a laurel wreath representing victory. The back shows the United States Military Academy Coat of Arm and a rising sun. The Union Shield has a sword and the helmet of Pallas Athena. Athena is associated with the arts of war and her helmet represents wisdom and learning. On the top is a bald eagle clutching a bundle of 13 arrows and a scroll.  The scroll bears the academy's motto, "Duty, Honor, Country" and the words, "West Point, MDCCCII (1802) USMA. The oak branch signifies strength and the olive branch signifies peace.
    This was the first of three significant works designed for the USMA by the distinguished Laura Gardin Fraser and was struck by the Metallic Art Corporation.
