References "Les Insignes du Train" by the French Army Historical Service, 1988, and "Insignes de l'Armée Française L'Indochine, Tome II" 1984.  Unit reconstituted 1 August 1947 in Indochina, serving in Tonkin and South Annam until 1955 when it was transferred to Algeria.
No current French dealer retail offers found for a STERLING silver (argent massif) badge.  Hallmarked Drago Paris Nice Olivier Metra Argent, with the transparent blue enamel and "pusher" type clasp typical of French made sterling badges of this era.  Attachment pin intact.   Genuine, not a restrike.
