    References "Les Insignes du Train" by the French Army Historical Service, 1988, and "Insignes de l'Armée Française L'Indochine, Tome II" 1984.  Unit created 16 June 1949 at Casablanca, Morocco, debarked at Haiphong 16 October 1949, installed at Bach Mai near Hanoi. Implanted in Laos in September 1953 until November 1954, when it was transported to Saigon and dissolved.
    No current French dealer retail offers found for a STERLING silver (argent massif) badge.  Hallmarked Drago Beranger Argent, with the transparent blue enamel and "pusher" type clasp typical of French made sterling badges of this era.  Attachment pin intact.   Genuine, not a restrike.
