Vtg Self Watering Ceramic Cast Iron Water Well Pump Plant Water Decorative Spike

This decorative piece is supposed to look like an old cast iron farm well water pump.
The little decorative spike gets pushed into the soil of a potted plant to time release water/feed the plant.
It is made of ceramic and has no damage, wear, odor or stains. The top is open to pour 2 ounces of water to seep into the soil.
The top portion measures 5 1/2" tall with a base that is 2" square. The spike is 2" long and is cone shaped.
The piece looks like it was probably made in a ceramics class. It is hand painted, glazed and kiln cooked.
It is signed by the maker on the bottom but I can't read the writing.
