Leather is in perfect like-new condition for the age. This is everyday-parade version M1932 looks like it was issued to the officer and stayed in the closet for the following 75 years. As per nicely preserved stamp it was manufactured in 1946 in Moscow by leather goods factory number 8. Belt width is 2", shoulder strap in its wider part is 1 1/4". Belt maximum opening is 40", with a maximum opening of 39" in shoulder strap (size L). Nothing is missing no oxidation on metal parts, leather is nice still has original smell! I doubt it would be a good idea to put it on and wear on a regular basis, but it would be fine for reenacting or manikin uniform. It is my believe that the condition of this item is subjective, so I encourage you to look over each photo for your own condition assessment and when needed, inquire about additional photos or information regarding my item. As with any vintage item, there is expected to be some general signs of use and wear, since there is no mention that an item is New or Mint, you should expect this to be the case. Additionally, please feel free to contact me regarding any questions or concerns. I try my best to accurately
photograph and describe each item to the best of my ability, but I am sure there are things that you as the buyer would like to see, so please let me know how I can help!
Historical reference: first official field leather belt set was introduced in Russian Imperial army in 1912. It was worn during the Civil war after 1917 and the next field leather was made in mid-1920s. Due to being very complicated and taking long time to be put on and removed in case of wound it was phased out in 1932. 1932 unified field equipment is used until today with some simplifications. Original 1932 version set had 2 shoulder straps, and different connection points from shoulder straps to belt. This model was used by army, NKVD, police and other branches of service. Other than that this one is 100% identical to 1932 and most people won't tell any difference. In 1948 belt was simplified further and Nickel plating was dropped.
Included - belt with shoulder strap and sword hangers. The item is 75 years old so there might be some minor discolorations or imperfections! It was stored alone with wool uniforms and might have moth balls smell. Please feel free to ask any additional questions or request additional pictures prior to bidding!
